MBA Program Overview

The application deadline for the online MBA programs at University of Baltimore (Merrick), a public school, is rolling. For these programs, all of the online classes are recorded and archived. Students should also note that the online MBA programs at University of Baltimore (Merrick) are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the gold standard of business school accreditation.
As pioneers in online education, our faculty took the lead in 1998 to establish the UBalt MBA as the world's first fully online, AACSB-accredited MBA program, with the inaugural class beginning in January 1999. In the fall of 2016, we formally split the offerings into the Flexible MBA and the Online MBA for distinct admissions and marketing purposes.
Crucially, regardless of the chosen format, both of our MBA programs offer students the identical curriculum, faculty, and assurance of learning. The only significant difference between the two programs is the tuition structure: the UBalt Online MBA offers the in-state tuition rate to everyone worldwide, which changes to the out-of-state rate only if a student chooses to take an in-person class. Conversely, the UBalt Flexible MBA applies standard out-of-state tuition rates, though it offers regional residency rates for students living in Washington, D.C., Delaware, and specific areas of Virginia and Pennsylvania. In 2025 began using the GMAC Business Fundamentals as a path to get our learners up-to-speed in accounting, finance and statistics prior to beginning the program. This allowed us to offer the overall program at a lower cost than the previous years.
